So three months ago I acquired a studio so I can do more painting. Since then I've been pottering about painting portraits and the like. Inevitably, my thoughts turned to trying to paint TMBG. This is my first attempt at Linnell - I'd be interested to see what y'all think!

I dunno really - these are kind of painted in my usual style, but I tried to add more colour and symbolism to them cos the Johns deserve it. But I think that's inspired me to go a bit mad with colour in more of my work. So I'm starting on a giant experiment tomorrow. Watch this space...

I like these very much and a lot. I have been messing about with a "painting" style in Photoshop for some time, so he's a quick and dirty "painting" of the Johns.

Both of those are really good. Very nice.

Here's my "painting" of John Flansburgh. Done in MS paint. I'm not finished though. It will include his shoulders though.
