Title: Introducing...

Got this one for a certain forum member who might be know by the initials ST... :old:

*shakes stick at the younger generation and mutters about their habits*

:old: :old: :old: :old:

If you ask our channel bot a question, she replies. To wit:

20:16 <@StrayTaoist> be me
20:16 * discordia shakes walking stick at youngsters. Curse my metal body.

Hark your elders, young fellow, for the revenge of the old is that they know the young will be old one day too. Wise words. Obviously not mine.

Our bot knows lots of things. Like:

20:20 <@StrayTaoist> life
20:20 <+discordia> life is one of those things you buy at trendy shops like HABITAT

But then, in the intervening four minutes, I got chatting to the resident dancing girl, and didn't finish this here. I should have, and passed on more wise words because EVERYONE by which I mean EVERYONE listens to me.

I appreciate the new emoticon, mr W, though that could lead to a rant on the uselessness of such things, and the fact that back in 92 when it was all JANET and usenet you were glad of a terminal emulation never mind animated gifs. Gifs? What were they? Something used to clean the sink with that they now call cif. So if you aren't of a certain age even that gag falls by the wayside. Weigh. Syde. Can you pronounce sidereal correctly? I can. Though I never heard it said out loud until I went to university, therefore looked like a country bumpkin in front of the city sophisticates. Which is just another type of talking to dancing chicks. Obsession? Not into perfume, so I don't know.

What's that sonny? Speak up, wontcha, the ear trumpet only does half the work for ya...

Actually, you will find the guns don't work anymore, what with them being covered in concrete...

I hear that that is quite a fine method of getting them through security...

...Shame they weigh so much and don't work afterward. :P And gee, how suspicious is a person with a huge concrete block in tow? Not very, I say.

Johnw - September 30, 2005 07:39 AM (GMT)
As for them not working... just put 'em in a plastic bag before the concrete goes on. No problem. ;)

Doodles - October 2, 2005 05:52 AM (GMT)
Consider, though, all the chipping away you'll have to do to get the gun out of the concrete later... It would prove difficult getting it out without damaging the gun in some way, don't you think?

What if we were to put the guns in sturdy, protective cases before the concrete bath?

Johnw - October 2, 2005 10:35 AM (GMT)
If you do it properly, you just need to hit the concrete really hard and then it splits in half... easy access to your guns then.

Doodles - October 2, 2005 05:18 PM (GMT)
Wouldn't that require a seam?

Johnw - October 2, 2005 09:07 PM (GMT)
Teh seams! Teh seams!

Of course it does... you do this sort of thing often then? :old:

unzippable concrete, I always prefer, so much easier

Ah. See, I was stuck on that it was a solid block of concrete, not a casted block of concrete.

But no, I don't cast concrete with 'surprises inside' regularly. Never have, actually.
