Hmm...where'd you get the SEXXY Cd?

Doodles - July 9, 2005 07:31 AM (GMT)
Extensive networking, and a few really good friends in Canada.

Johnw - July 9, 2005 07:40 AM (GMT)
Righty... here goes, in chronological order, I think:

TMBG (Pink album)
Lincoln
Flood
Misc T.
Apollo 18
John Henry
Factory Showroom
Then: The Early Years
Severe Tire Damage
Long Tall Weekend
Mink Car
They Got Lost
The Spine
TMBG Live at the London Astoria (9/9/04)
Here Come The ABCs

Edit: I also have State Songs... forgot that somehow.

Plus I also have a couple of personal TMBG compilations and a bunch of their tracks scattered across other mixed CDs.

Unfortunately I have no DVDs, but I do have their 1992? video compilation.

For some reason I have no singles, only albums. I do intend to correct this soon. Watch this space. ^_^

StrayToaster - July 9, 2005 10:04 PM (GMT)
Not including seven inches, EPs, 12 inches and other things not included in the picture, which, let's face it, not being included does help my cause. And I have used this pic a few times. But I show it again. Hark me, dammit.

user posted image

Don't make me go through my vinyl and catalogue it all. Don't. What's that Skip? It is all trapped down the abandoned mine and if I don't list it the world will end and that corset won't pop?

Edited. By me. DON'T DRINK AND POST, kiddies.

klimdeeni - July 10, 2005 02:41 PM (GMT)

never heard that one before

for some it takes a little growing into because of its extra degree of sophistication

keep listening! ^_^

El Zilcho - July 11, 2005 08:11 AM (GMT)
Agreed. JH is my favorite now, but when I got it, I only cared for five or six songs. They're really infectious songs once you hear them a few times.

My list, in order of least suck to most suck:

"Gigantic"
John Henry
Factory Showroom
The Spine
Mink Car
Apollo 18
Lincoln
Flood
Pink Album

Feel free to argue with me about the order here. I'm interested in your various opinions.

Back on topic, I would like to point out that while John Henry is my favorite album, I think Factory Showroom has the best ratio of good to suck (11:2 ain't bad). John Henry just comes together so well as an album that it's hard to put it after anything else.

I'm surprised you guys have the rare stuff that you have. I mean, I didn't even know there was a Don't Let's Start EP. Where do you find this stuff?

EDIT: Also, Klimdeeni, how do you have a physical copy of Long Tall Weekend?

klimdeeni - July 11, 2005 09:12 AM (GMT)
yea i do have the LTW CD
It's pretty cool
I got it off of ebay
the one i think is more impressive is the house of mayors CD
that is a VERY hard one to get

Johnw - July 11, 2005 09:44 AM (GMT)
I suppose you don't have "Dr. Spock's Backup Band", which is also very hard to get hold of...

I will post a list of the rare tracks I have soon, when I can be bothered to write them all down

about the long tall weekend CD
there were some copies of an actual longtall weekend CD released at certain concerts promoting long tall weekend
there were also some released to certain stores, but not for sale
for display or something
someone had one and sold it to me
now i spend my days doing this  :rocks:

about dr. spocks back up band
no I don't have it
i think it's either just live recordings, or a collection of prereleased songs

http://www.tmbw.net/wiki/index.php/Dr._Spo...7s_Back-Up_Band

that's all i could gather from the wiki

Johnw - July 11, 2005 09:50 PM (GMT)

klimdeeni - July 11, 2005 11:56 PM (GMT)
