Johnw - August 26, 2004 07:30 PM (GMT)
Have you seen the video for it? (I watched it on yahoo launch)

Yeah... that is a VERY disturbing video.

LoveJohnX2 - August 27, 2004 01:12 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah..

I haven't seen it for a while and I couldn't figure out what that joke had to do with anything :P

gianthead - August 28, 2004 09:46 PM (GMT)
Sorry if my joke offended anyone, I though it quite good on the spur of the moment. Yes, the correct answer is Flansburger. Go on, groan! :D

However I didn't start a topic solely for my joke. Anyone who wants to dicuss the video can do it here. Personally, I didn't find it so funny as I expect from the Johns but just as wierd.

LoveJohnX2 - August 31, 2004 03:36 PM (GMT)
Oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..

That was my groaning. ;)

davew27 - August 31, 2004 08:34 PM (GMT)
i got it the instant i heard it, but....

GROAN!

~Occidere~

The Mighty Big Antes - September 29, 2004 08:16 PM (GMT)
Hey I laughed at it. Though I think Flans is the only one to lose a few limbs in the video.

gianthead - September 30, 2004 02:34 PM (GMT)
It always seems to be Flansy who has the nasty things happen to him. :ph43r:

mrhorrible - September 30, 2004 02:37 PM (GMT)
Maybe he volunteers cos he is something of a video director himself.

Perhaps he volunteers cos he's got a morbid streak :ph43r:

LoveJohnX2 - September 30, 2004 07:03 PM (GMT)
Nothing wrong with a morbid streak.

Doodles - September 30, 2004 07:06 PM (GMT)
LOL Morbid streaks rule! (That reminds me of Apollo 18, for some reason.)

LoveJohnX2 - October 1, 2004 01:28 AM (GMT)
I think everyone has a morbid streak, weather they wanna admit it or not. Some people embrace it..and some people ignore it..and some people..kill people.

gianthead - October 1, 2004 10:47 AM (GMT)
Do you think that a morbid streak is one characteristic of the TMBG-acus-fanaticus? :D

Maybe you mean, do you think INDULGING a morbid streak in creative ways is a characteristic of the TMBG-acus-fanaticus?

;)

YES.

LoveJohnX2 - October 1, 2004 04:12 PM (GMT)
Yeah. Me too. They don't ignore it..and they don't kill people. They fall into the people that embrace it..and use it for their music.

And I think you have to understand that to be a fan of theirs.

EDIT: Hey kids! Let's play a game! It's called..pretend Jen™ can spell!

A PENGUIN COOKIE!

mrhorrible - October 4, 2004 08:42 AM (GMT)
Can I have a Flipper Dipper instead?

Doodles - October 4, 2004 09:12 AM (GMT)
Okay, I'm not even going to ask what that is, but I'm pretty certain you made it up.

The penguin cookie is an inside joke from a conversation Jen and I had whilst she was at my house.

mrhorrible - October 4, 2004 09:14 AM (GMT)
A flipper dipper is a special UK Penguin cookie that is shaped like a penguin flipper and you dip it in a little pot of liquid chocolate.

Doodles - October 4, 2004 09:26 AM (GMT)
:o Oooo. That sounds good.

Why does the UK always sound so much better than America? Not fair.

mrhorrible - October 4, 2004 09:33 AM (GMT)
It's because we have the BIIIG chocolate factory.

gianthead - October 4, 2004 10:32 AM (GMT)
Brits go for quality, Americans for quantity (hehe stereotype). B)

mrhorrible - October 4, 2004 10:33 AM (GMT)
Don't be so transatlantically rude :P

Spy - October 4, 2004 10:42 AM (GMT)
Just to be wildly off-topic, if Doodles hadn't got us there already, this transatlantic thing works pretty well. Does anyone know if this is the only TMBG forum in the UK?

mrhorrible - October 4, 2004 10:44 AM (GMT)
I think it is. Let me see ....

I, being an American, go for TMBG's three power spheres. Melody, Fidelity, Quantity.

I didn't think it was rude, it's all in good humor.

LoveJohnX2 - October 4, 2004 08:47 PM (GMT)
Actually, I DO go for quantity..I'm such a packrat. I need to have everything.

I'm so offended though! :P

gianthead - October 5, 2004 12:05 PM (GMT)
HAHA TMBG are quality they got the wrong side of the pond. :P
