Title: Poll: Best EP-Only Song

Silver2D - March 1, 2005 10:02 PM (GMT)
These are the best ones in my eyes, but I imagine you guys will have differing opinions.

I only used one per EP, and there a few EPs I skipped over...

El Zilcho - March 1, 2005 10:35 PM (GMT)
I don't know about you, but the world first spoke to me in Sensurround.

Spy - March 1, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
So badly torn between SenSurround and It's Not My Birthday that I had to just close my eyes and click - I could have been here all night making my mind up.

mrhorrible - March 1, 2005 11:46 PM (GMT)
Come on! It's obviously that loveable rogue "The Famous Polka". What other such short, fast nonsensical beauty have they created?

LoveJohnX2 - March 2, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
Jen voted Sensurround. Obey it.

Doodles - March 2, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
I had to vote Famous Polka... I can't resist that thing. Awesome instrumental work... Jeez, I wish I could play that.

klimdeeni - March 2, 2005 04:44 AM (GMT)
I LOVE SENSURROUND!
that is my third favorite song of all!

Johnw - March 2, 2005 09:38 AM (GMT)
Brilliant though the others are, it just had to be Sensurround. B)

Now if "Moving to the Sun" or "Ondine" had been on there it would have been near impossible. :ph43r:

gianthead - March 2, 2005 11:26 AM (GMT)
I picked It's Not My Birthday even though Sensurround was tempting me!!!!

Anyway where's Moving to the Sun? That song freaking rules :rocks:

Silver2D - March 2, 2005 09:50 PM (GMT)
Weird.

I've never heard 'Moving to the Sun'.

If anyone has it on their computer, can they please E-Mail it to me?

Ok. And thank you for the song.

The Mighty Big Antes - March 27, 2005 04:01 AM (GMT)
SenSurround, but Stormy Pinkness and Mrs. Train come in close second.

Jen voted Sensurround. Obey it.

And who pimped SenSurround out to Jen™?

Me. And who pimped it out to me?

Johnw. Who ALSO happened to vote for it.

... That's right. Obey it.

Stormy Pinkness

Stormy Pinkness...

I don't know that song, I think I'll have to catch up with that one :)

The Mighty Big Antes - March 27, 2005 04:34 PM (GMT)
Stormy Pinkness can be heard on the Clock Radio, and a live version is on the Dial-a-Song compelation.

C'mon now, It's Not My Birthday takes the cake here, easy. What a hell of a song that is..my god.

Katie80 - June 19, 2005 09:08 PM (GMT)
I was torn between Stormy Pinkness and SenSurround but in the end I went with the latter ^_^

centipede - June 20, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
I've only head Sensurround and Mrs. Train, but both are great. I chose Sensurround.

JoyGerhardt - July 18, 2005 05:39 AM (GMT)
I'm in love with Stormy Pinkness. Whenever I hear it I feel like grabbing someone and slowdancing.

davew27 - August 15, 2005 05:46 PM (GMT)
I voted Sensurround, it the best out of the ones I have heard; SenSurround, Mrs. Train, The Famous Polka & It's Not My Birthday.

TMBGirl - September 17, 2005 08:46 PM (GMT)
It's a tie between Sensurround, It's Not My Birthday, and The Famous Polka. I just picked the first one on the list. Not an easy question! Hi, Steve!

bog_standard - September 19, 2005 11:47 PM (GMT)
I've never heard any of these songs except the last.
In fact, when I heard the word "EP", the only thing that came to mind was Indestructible Object

Come to think of it, I'm not totally clear on the exact definition of "EP".

Come to think of it, I'm not totally clear on the exact definition of "EP".

"An extended play or EP, is the name given to vinyl records or CDs which are too long to qualify as singles but too short to qualify as albums. Typically an album has eight or more tracks (anywhere between 30-60 minutes), a single only one or two (5-15 minutes), and an EP four to eight (or around 15-35 minutes.)"

Looked it up on the wikipedia ^_^

centipede - September 20, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
I just heard It's Not My Birthday. It comes pretty close to Sensurround in greatness, I must say....

It's Not My Birthday! :music:

cyclonaut - February 9, 2006 04:35 PM (GMT)
I voted for Stormy Pinkness because my Johnny cup is always filled with doom.

But if Ondine was up there I would have voted twice.

I love that song.

davew27 - February 9, 2006 06:18 PM (GMT)
I think Ondine is probably one of TMBG's best songs.

jonfin826 - February 3, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
I don't know. I happen to like Stormy Pinkness alot, so I voted for it.
