Title: Common Rotation

fingertipsjjddm - January 15, 2005 03:58 AM (GMT)
These guys are truly great. They have toured with TMBG twice. They are a creative duo. They are really really funny. They have something very much like dial-a-song called union maid, it's all online, you can download a worksong in progress every day. They have 2 full lenght albums, 1 EP and 3 live recordings out. Totally worth checking out. Official Website

I love Common Rotation, they're such nice guys and their album The Big Fear is great (though I prefer Hotel Cafe). My favourite songs of theirs are probably Everything Under The Sun, Fortunate and The Crowd And I.

Can't wait to see them in April.

order tickets early ;)!

- just London announced so far .. hoping to see some other venues added!

Their 3rd visit to the Troubadour in Earls Court .. a lovely intimate venue .. under the cafe ... audience capacity 120 only .. gets you right up close and personal to enjoy the show :) .. hee in April Adam said

"This is like being in my Grandma's basement .. cannot be too loud, can't jump too high - and everything good goes on down there but you just can't tell the people upstairs!"

so you seeing any of the Summer shows fingertips?

Haha, Adam is my hero. He's so funny. I haven't seen a show since last september, and as much as I want too see another, they really don't stop by maryland that often. Ever really. Most of their touring in the states is done in California or New York. And since I don't drive yet, and my parents are stupid, its rather unlikely i will get to see a show. My best bets are the Pennsylvania shows, but I'm not sure.

On another note... do you know when the documentary about the living room tour is coming out? I can't wait, its going to be so awesome.

hahaaa - you and me both! .. you can always guarantee to be giggling at some point .. or several dozen points :)

As to the DVD - they are still filming the thing!! :o! - Although it was mostly around The Living Room Tour (I sooo wish I could see one of them ... unfortunately my own front room is a wee bit small ;) ) - they are shooting all the normal shows too.

That's going to be one monster editing job! - But well worth the wait. I just said they should release a box-set!

Yeah - they seem to bee sticking to the LA and NY grounds again ... hope you get a chance soon though!!

Some peeps wanted to know if there were any shows outside of London ... well - just about - here's the first one just announced!

Common Rotation are perhaps kicking off the tour here - playing the party at Collectormania 8 in Milton Keynes :) Not sure if anyone here is a convention fiend and has been before ... but it's normally a fantastic weekend :) though attending the party can be done completely separately - without fighting with the masses in the shopping centre for autographs and celeb hugging! haha.

The party tickets where the guys will play cost £15 and go on sale at London Film and Comic Con first of all, then will be available phone/email from Collectormania.

 very excited for the news!

I first fell in love with the band becuase of Collectormania 6 - it's a proper one year anniversary for me then!

heee - no telling if Corn Mo is also making it to the land of the concrete cows and a million roundabouts, Herring?!

Hmm, i can't wait for the living room tour dvd. Its going to be so funny. I love on the Clear Channel EP when Adam is introducting the live version of clear channel. Its so great. (I just wish the crowd would stop laughing during god will. I know its funny, but I want to hear the words a bit clearer.)

EDIT: This is my 500th post! w00t! :rocks: :drink:
