Okay you people are all experts, what is going on in most of the songs on 'They Got lost'?
For example, What is Theme from McSweeney/s. Who is McSweeney? What is the Drag that They are on? What does Mosh Momken Abadon mean, what language is that? And so on and so forth?

McSweeneys has a topic of its own
here which should explain that.
The drag, I think, is a slang term for a particular street in NYC, but I'm not certain.
As for Mosh Momken Abadon, this is a cover of an Egyptian tune, so that might explain something. The only other info on that I could provide is that a few centuries ago in England, Abadon was another name for the devil. It is used in John Buchan's "A pilgrim's progress" I believe.

I don't have that CD yet... Though, I have heard "on the drag" and "They got lost". Good songs.

They Got Lost is an excellent album. I swear there isn't a track on here that can be skipped. It's a shame these never got put on any studio albums.

Yeah, they're on the Clock Radio, so if you tune into that, you're bound to hear them sometime.

Clock radio doesn't work for me because I have cursed dialup! Actually..I'll try it. Just for the heck of it again.

I'm so glad I'm spoiled with broadband. :D
Johnw - October 11, 2004 08:28 AM (GMT)
Why has Jen not got broadband?
LoveJohnX2 - October 11, 2004 03:25 PM (GMT)
'cause Jen has to pay for the internet herself..and can't afford broadband.
AOL is expensive as it is!

If you're going for dial-up, you should get it through netzero or a local company --- you can get it for as little as $10/month, and its tons better. AOL is only worth the $$ for those who don't know how to type in the URLs. You're obviously intelligent enough to just dial-up with IE or Netscape as your browser. Of course, AOL is evil, and deleting it may screw up your computer... I had to reformat mine.
If you're paying $20+ a month anyway for AOL, though... you could get SBC DSL for only a few $$ more. I think its about $27/month. If you sign up when there's a sale, set up, etc. is free.

Yeah..that's what they tell me.

Gerryw, I read the topic you pointed me towards but it doesn't explain much.
I like 'Theme from McSweeney's' because it sounds like the music of Bach and is nice easy listening.
For They, I mean.

An interesting tidbit of information about the Theme to McSweeney's: It's completely digital. It was all made with the keyboard and computer, but that's easily noticeable.

I admit it. I also use AOL. I can't get rid of it because I have 2 sisters, 2 neices and a brother-in-law also using the acct. And it's their only access to the internet.
Besides, it's a really easy way to read the tmbg newsgroup
